español II -viernes, el 12 de junio

Today is the LAST BLOG - see Sra. Croft for final information about your final exam. Today we wrote and presented 15-point review skits over the whole course, and then we saw some of the picture projects! We watched a little more of Los Increíbles, and we got a review sheet and a homework assignment to do over the weekend. Be sure to consult the gold packet (from Wednesday) about how and what to study for the Final Exam this next week! We will be reviewing until the final exam date.

español II - jueves, el 11 de junio

Today we handed in our crossword puzzle and finished our projects. We also did several workbook reading, writing and listening activities, and a speaking activity in our textbook. Then we saw a little more of Los Increíbles, and we have a worksheet due tomorrow using the 4B vocabulary on a crossword. Tomorrow we will present our projects!

español II - miércoles, el 10 de junio

Today we practiced our vocabulary, corrected and handed in the homework, and then we wrote our art project stories in the past tense with a partner. Homework tonight is a crossword puzzle, and we also got a gold review packet for the final exam. Start studying NOW, just a little each day, for next week's final exam.

We practiced our vocabulary, corrected and handed in the homework, and practiced some new "clues" and cues about using the two past tenses. We saw our book video, and had a free trip to northern Spain and also to Madrid! Homework tonight is a new worksheet practicing the two past tenses and also vocabulary.

Today we took notes and practiced the uses of the TWO past tenses when used together to tell a story. We practiced the uses on a green worksheet, and we practiced our new vocabulary and read from our textbook. Homework tonight is a new worksheet packet.

español II -viernes, el 5 de junio

Warm-up: we practiced our verbs, question-asking in the imperfect, and vocabulary. We corrected and handed in our homework, did two speaking-practice/conversation activities with our partner, and then we did a review worksheet. We took our 4A QUIZ, and then watched a little more of The Incredibles! New vocabulary list for 4B is tonight's homework, due Monday.

español II - jueves, el 4 de junio

Warm-up: we practiced our "imperfect" forms, then corrected and handed in our homework. We did some review speaking and vocabulary and past tense activities, and then a classroom poll about 4 people's childhood. We have a new packet for tomorrow as homework, and tomorrow's quiz is over the imperfect verb forms and all of the 4A chapter vocabulary, especially page 208. Vimos 15 minutos de Los Incréibles. :-)

SENIORS: !Felicidades!

JUNIORS: No habrá otros "blogs" este año - no hay tarea esta noche, pero sí habrá tarea por una semana más, y vamos a leer un poco de literatura, estudiar un poco más gramática, y conversar mucho. :-)

Hoy fue el examen del subjuntivo, y mañana es el examen sobre La mordaza: los temas, las imágenes, los personajes, y el argumento.

We reviewed our verbs and finished our blue verb sheet, and then we practiced vocabulary. We handed in the green packet and the crossword puzzle, after correcting them. We practiced vocabulary and "desk slap" with vocabulary flashcards, and then we did 4 pages of comprehension practice activities in our workbook. Tonight's homework is a worksheet packet. FRIDAY TEST over chapter 4A, spelling vocabulary and also spelling verb forms and understanding vocabulary in context.

Warm-up: we practiced our vocabulary, then corrected and handed in our homework. We did three speaking practice/interview activities with our partner, and we saw the book's video and Gramactiva. Then, we read it aloud, and did a vocabulary crossword puzzle for practice, and we started filling in a blue verb sheet with the forms of the imperfect tense. We have a green vocabulary practice homework packet for homework. QUIZ on Friday: chapter 4A, vocabulary and verb forms.

Hoy repasamos La mordaza y nos preparamos para ese examen, que será jueves. Vimos más proyectos y una charla! Examen mañana: capítulos 11 y 12 de Repaso, y puedes usar el libro para el examen.

español V - lunes, el 1 de mayo

Muchos seniors han ganado premios y becas! ¡Qué clase talentosa! Leímos el "epílogo" de La mordaza, y la tarea (la ULTIMA tarea del año para los seniors) es una hoja. Miércoles: examen del subjuntivo y el jueves:examen de La mordaza. Martes será día de repaso para todo.

We practiced our new vocabulary from chapter 4A, and we took notes and learned how to say "used to" in Spanish. We learned the "imperfecto," which is the tense for talking about descriptions and the past, in a repeated sense, and we interviewed our partner and took notes on his/her childhood. Tonight's homework is a gold worksheet and a white worksheet, practicing the "A ver si recuerdas" beginning of chapter 4A, on page 184.
