We did an in-class practice packet (pink) on irregular preterite verbs, and we played the dice game to practice their forms. We also re-read our video story and did a green comprehension packet, and we also did two oral exercises in our book for lots of oral participation points! Homework: a new yellow worksheet. DUE FRIDAY: "Mi casa de sueños," including at least 5 rooms and 20 labels about furniture and aspects of the house. OK to add several floors (pisos) or garden around house. Today we worked on our verbs, and we practiced answering and asking questions. We also worked on our capitals and countries, in the book, in a song, and in a map packet. Tonight's homework is: finish the crossword puzzle, finish the map packet (write in the capitals and countries), and also do the -er verb practice worksheet. Next week we will have a quiz over the verbs, the vocabulary lists, and the map packet, in recognition and matching format for the map, and in spelling format for vocabulary and grammar. How to study? Review verb forms on verb sheet! Say them aloud, practice how they're written. Same with vocabulary, and practice with your flashcards. Cover up a country on the map packet and try to name it and its capital.

Today we practiced our future tense, and we corrected last night's homework which was a packet of practicing the future and conditional tenses. We started working on a pink verb-form-review sheet, and did half of it in class. Then, we created test-review game questions in groups, and we will play this game to review in the next few days. HOMEWORK: finish the pink verb-form-review worksheet.

Today we practiced our p.234 vocabulary for chapter 4B, and we also practiced using the two past tenses together. We watched our book video, and did a green worksheet packet about it. Then, we handed in our green 4B crossword puzzle from yesterday, and we also did some listening exercises in a blue packet. Homework tonight is pages 85-87 in our Practice Workbook.

We did a new crossword puzzle, and we have a new 4B vocabulary list to fill in tonight as homework. We also got lots of practice and review information for the final exam next week, over the whole book through chapter 4B.

Today we reviewed the FUTURE tense, and we corrected the review packet of homework from last night. Then, we wrote and performed FUTURE TENSE skits, with fortunetellers and trips to the future! We have a review packet due on Monday, and we received two review pages to prepare for the chapter 4 test next Tuesday. We also watched the beginning of a Telenovela que tiene lugar en México.

Today we practiced our new vocabulary, and we watched the book video and talked about our childhood. We read and reviewed uses of the imperfect from our book, and we did a green comprehension packet about the video story. HOMEWORK: pages 71 - 74 in our workbook.

Today we practiced our present perfect forms, and we also did some "stressed possessives" from our textbook. We learned the FUTURE and CONDITIONAL tenses, meaning "will" and "would," and a fortune teller (una adivina) visited class and told about our futures. We have homework (a worksheet packet) practicing chapter 4 concepts, and the Chapter 4 exam is next Tuesday.

Today we practiced our new vocabulary and learned how to talk about our childhood. We took notes and practiced the "imperfecto" and practiced talking about what we "used to do." We looked at yesterday's exam, and we have homework using our book, pages 182-183, and also the blue crossword is due tomorrow.

Today we learned the "present and past perfect" tenses, to say I have gone (he ido) and I had gone (Yo había ido), and we practiced them in a packet. Then, we watched a movie about Las comidas latinoamericanas. Homework: write 15 sentences about what you "have done" in your life. He aprendido a tocar la guitarra, he ganado una competencia de discurso, etc.

Today we practiced all of the information from chapter 3B, and reviewed for our test tomorrow over pages 154-180. We corrected our gold worksheet packet and pink crossword and yellow "tu" command form packet, and we wrote and performed skits about driving. Tonight's homework is a new worksheet; don't forget to study for the quiz!

Today we practiced our conversation vocabulary from chapter 4, and we also got to see yesterday's vocabulary quiz. We practiced "nosotros" command forms, and then we heard the guest speaker from ANDEO tell us about travel opportunities in Costa Rica. Homework is a new blue worksheet.

Today we practiced our vocabulary and corrected ALL of the homework from the weekend and also the gold packet. We had a vocabulary review game, and we presented our dialogues which addressed controversial issues and their solutions. Homework: pages 55-56 in our workbook, and QUIZ tomorrow over vocabulary from page 196/chapter 4.

Today we had a guest speaker. Thomas Smelter told us about his trip last summer to Costa Rica, and he showed pictures and talked about what it was like to be immersed in another culture and language. We corrected our yellow worksheet, practiced our flashcards and vocabulary a bit, and our homework tonight is three pages in our workbook: pages 60 - 62.

Today we practiced our vocabulary and reflexive verbs, then we corrected and handed in our homework. We started oral presentations by writing the script to discuss a problem in society or school, and discuss our opinions. Presentations will be Monday. Homework: PW (workbook) pages 52-54. MONDAY: sit with our class, together on the floor in the gym for the assembly, look for CROFT on a sign. We will stay for the Question and Answer session after the assembly, to talk with our speaker, Alter Wiener.

Today we practiced our command forms and learned new uses of the reflexive verbs. We practiced commands with different situations with a partner, and then we read some personality profiles about friendships and described friends with our partner. We have a new worksheet that's pink, over pages 157-158 vocabulary and the uses of some more reflexive verbs.

Today we talked about vacation and practiced our vocabulary and the preterite tense. We watched our video from our chapter, and we practiced conversation activities with different partners. We took notes on how "direct object pronouns" work, and we have homework tonight: Practice workbook pages 55-56. QUIZ on Thursday over preterite verb forms, and EXAM on Friday over all of chapter 3A.
