Today we learned vocabulary for Halloween, corrected our homework, and we practiced our past participles from yesterday. We worked on ZOMBIE and VAMPIRE skits and we all got prizes. TAREA: worksheet packet, but you have to do the translating, only. Vocabulary listing is optional.

español II - viernes, el 29 de octubre

Today we practiced new Halloween vocabulary and saw a movie about Day of the Dead. We got prizes! We also have an extra credit vocabulary packet,and we read a vampire story. HOMEWORK: have your vocabulary list filled in AND flashcards made for chapter 2A by Monday. Happy Halloween!

Today we practiced our new verb form, called the "present perfect," and we learned past participles. We also practiced our comparatives, on the homework pages. Our homework tonight is pages 25-26 in our workbook.

Today we practiced our chapter, and reviewed and then took our exam for chapter 1B. We have a vocabulary list due tomorrow, AND our project! Our flashcards are due on Monday.

Today we practiced making up movie reviews, and we practiced all of the information on our pages 62 - 65 in our book. We have homework in our workbook, pages 21 - 25. We presented our movie review dialogues, and we practiced our vocabulary.

español II- miércoles, el 27 de octubre

Today we practiced everything in our chapter 1B for tomorrow's exam. We practiced our "tan/como" and "tanto/tantos...como," and we practiced saber vs. conocer, and also our hobbies and "hace...que" for amount of time. We corrected and handed in our homework, and then we practiced with flashcards and translation cards, to review everything for tomorrow's test. STUDY: pages 42 - 68, read and take notes, re-do your homework, recopy hard structures, and make lists of words you don't know and review and rewrite them. NO HAY TAREA para mañana! (Friday, our project is due, and also tomorrow night you'll have a new vocabulary list to fill in)

Today we practiced our 1B chapter, including taking notes over what's on our test this Thursday. We practiced conversation and oral activities in our book, and we did listening comprehension. We also practiced with our questions and answers with partners, and we looked at yesterday's quiz. STUDY: pages 42 - 68, rewrite difficult things, re-do your homework, look over your notes, and practice all of our structures on those pages. HOMEWORK: a review worksheet.

Today we practiced our questions, practiced our vocabulary, and took our vocabulary quiz for chapter 1B. We also handed in our pink crossword and the homework packet from the weekend. This week: Exam 1B is Thursday, project is due on Friday, and the homework tonight is Practice Workbook 25 - 26.

Today we saw two projects, and we also practiced our listening comprehension. NO HAY TAREA!!! Exam tomorrow is over chapter 1 including the preterite and imperfect forms, and all vocabulary from the chapter.

Today we worked on our vocabulary and on questions with our chapter information, about our activities and sports and hobbies. We also did a listening comprehension activity in our blue packet, and we took notes about "saber" and "conocer," and we practiced their forms and uses. We also did a vocabulary crossword puzzle, and our homework is pages 23 -24 in our workbook tonight.

Today we made our TIMELINES, and we also practiced our vocabulary and read some articles in our book. We discussed and practiced the uses of preterite y el imperfecto, and we watched a video about La vuelta ciclista de España and other trips in the hispanic world. EXAM next Wednesday over chapter 1. HOMEWORK: Have your timeline done (add pictures!!) and also pages 17, 18, 20 in our workbook.

Today we practiced our verbs and then took our preterite verb quiz. Then, we learned the imperfect and took notes, and then we interviewed each other about our childhoods. (mi niñez), and our homework is a green vocabulary practice packet.

Today we practiced all of our vocabulary and all of our chapter 1A information, and we did a huge review activity in groups. Test tomorrow: all of chapter 1A, spelling and verb forms, pages 14 - 41. Page 41 has some online practice activities, and to review, you can read and study the chapter, and practice all of your verb forms and their meanings. Finish the yellow worksheet by tomorrow, as homework.

Today we corrected our homework, and we read some review and practice exercises and text in our book. We also did some listening comprehension practice exercises, and we took notes on what our exam will cover. We discussed successful study skills, and we have our exam on Wednesday over pages 14-41. Look at your notes from today (or copy someone's tomorrow if you were absent today) to review how to prepare for this exam. Homework: 15 original and creative sentences using page 40 vocabulary.

Today we signed up for a date to present our PowerPoint about a national park in a Spanish-speaking country, and we also corrected and handed in our homework. Chapter 1 exam will be next Friday, over the past tense and all vocabulary. We will finish the country posters on Monday, because our last 30 minutes today was learning about the Amigos volunteer program. Homework: 3 page packet practicing vocabulary from chapter 1.

Today we practiced our verbs from some exercises in the book, and also in our verb packet from yesterday. NEXT TUESDAY: verb quiz over the preterite verb forms. We heard our poster presentations, and we'll finish them tomorrow. HOMEWORK: the worksheet we got yesterday, practicing the preterite forms.

Today we practiced our verbs, and we played a vocabulary game. We also learned a Tengo Frio story/rap, and we practiced our vocabulary. we corrected and handed in our homework, and we also took a practice verb test. TOMORROW is our verb quiz; all of the stem-changing verbs and their forms, on a fill-in the blank quiz. Homework: a new packet, just do the first three pages. STUDY TIP: quiz yourself by covering up the squares on your verb sheet, and trying to write the forms from memory.

Today we practiced our homework from our workbook, and we handed in pages 13 and 14. We reviewed for and then took our map quiz, and then we did some reading about national parks, from our book. We then played Battleship with the preterite tense, and our homework is to have our poster + speech ready for tomorrow. ¡Hasta miércoles!

We reviewed for and then took our map quiz, and then we practiced conversation questions with our stem-changing verbs from chapter 1A.
