Spanish II-viernes el 29 de febrero

We did the warm-up practicing comparisons. We corrected the homework (pgs 16-17). We took our map quiz. We watched the Videohistoria from pages 48-49 in the textbook. We worked with partners to translate it and work on Activity 3 (pg 49). We had a “Costa Rica” day and looked at Maestra Goddard’s pictures.

espanol V - jueves el 28 de febrero

Hoy vimos el resto de Valentín; qué precioso es ese niño!! Y, repasamos y entregamos la tarea (L & M páginas 66-68). La tarea para mañana es Q y S al fin del capítulo 5. Hoy también oímos dos charlas. Hay una redacción para lunes: comparar tu niñez con la de tu padre, mamá, abuelo; alguien de otra generación. También hay otra charla: contarnos acerca de un viaje que hiciste! Firma tu nombre en una de las fechas abiertas en el pizarrón, por favor.

We did the warm-up practicing vocabulary and IR + a. We went over the homework. We learned comparisons from page 53 of the textbook and did activities 10 and 11 with partners. We also took notes on the concepts. We did an oral practice comparing people. We also got our tests back and went over the answers as a class.

Spanish II-miercoles el 27 de febrero

We did the warm-up practicing our capitals on Spanish-speaking countries. We started on chapter 1B with vocabulary practice and learned how to say “I am going to” (IR + A). We took notes and did oral practice with our partners.

Hoy vimos más de Valentín; nos queda como media hora más de la película. Repasamos la tarea, y practicamos las diferencias entre el pretérito y el imperfecto, con varias actividades y conversaciones. Oímos tres charlas, y la tarea para mañana es L y M de capítulo 5.

Hoy oímos dos charlas, tuvimos una prueba sobre capítulo 4 de Repaso, y vimos media hora más de Valentín. También, recibimos un paquete sobre Las tiendas, y nos hicimos preguntas usando el vocabulario que se presentaba adentro. La tarea para mañana es pp. 64-65 A & B de Repaso.

We did the warm-up practicing our vocab and verbs from chapter 1A. We reviewed in the texbook for the test and then took the test on chapter 1A.

We did the warm up practicing our vocab and stem-changing verbs. We went over the homework pgs 14 and 15. We practiced for the test by doing activities in from pgs 27-30 in the textbook. We had oral conversation with our partners using conversation cards and we did 3 listening activities to practice our comprehension.

Tarea: ESTUDIEN. We have an EXAMEN mañana (2/26).

Repasamos y entregamos la tarea, oímos tres charlas, hubo una práctica para un incendio y nos fuimos de clase, y vimos una parte de la película "Valentín" acerca de un niño que quiere ser astronauta. La tarea para lunes es O y P páginas 53 - 54.

Spanish II: viernes, el 22 de febrero

We practiced the verbs today with our warmup, then we corrected and handed in the homework worksheet. Tonight's homework is another worksheet, which is a crossword puzzle (page 40 vocabulary). We studied geography, did a blue worksheet about South America, and saw a movie about South America. Tuesday: Test over 1A: study pages 14 - 40, especially stem changing verbs, indefinite and negative expressions (page 31), and p. 40 vocabulary.

español V - Hoy repasamos la tarea (L M N de capítulo 4 de Repaso) y recibimos una nueva hoja de tarea, practicando estos verbos. Hicimos las primeras dos páginas de un paquete que repasa todo del cuento Un oso y un amor. Recibimos también una hoja de vocabulario. Hay que conocer bien todos los cuentos que leemos en Album, porque habrá un examen de literatura al final del cuarto. ¡Mañana, Antonio nos va a enseñar la canción de VIERNES! ¿Viste el eclipse de la luna anoche? ¡Fue muy hermoso e impresionante!

We did the warm up practicing our affirmative/negative words. We went over the homework worksheet and the crossword. We practiced stem-changing verbs with our partners on page 31 of the textbook. We practiced vocabulary and writing sentences with translation cards in groups of four.

We did the warm up practicing stem-changing verbs. We went over the homework packet. We practiced stem-changing verbs with our partners and then took a short quiz on the verbs. We practiced vocabulary on page 40 of textbook and used pink flash card (with pictures) to practice vocabulary and verbs. We did activity 12 on page 26 of the textbook. We filled out a crossword puzzle with vocabulary and did a listening activity on page 9 of our WAVA.

Hoy, repasamos la tarea, y la tarea para mañana es L, M & N en Repaso, capítulo 4. Leímos y discutimos el cuento "Un oso y un amor" en Album, y discutimos lo que íbamos a incluir en una cápsula de tiempo. Hubo tres charlas; informes de libros.

espanol V: martes, el 19 de febrero

Hoy platicamos mucho acerca del fin de semana, y hablamos de las noticias del día: Fidel Castro se renunció, Kosovo se ha declarado un país independiente, y practicamos los verbos del capítulo 4 de Repaso, con una lista de verbos y una lista de preguntas. TAREA: I, J, K páginas 48-52 en Repaso. Nuevas charlas mañana: Un libro interesante.

Hoy discutimos la historia "Una sortija para mi novia," y practicamos con situaciones acerca de los personajes del cuento. Oímos charlas, y no hay tarea este fin de semana.

We did the warm up practicing stem-changing verbs. We went over the homework. We finished filling out the rest of our stem-changing verb chart and practiced the forms with our partners. We created skits using our Chapter 1A vocabulary, stem-changing verbs and negative/affirmative words. The skits were performed in front of the class.

Tarea: PW pages 9-10. REMINDER: we have a vocabulary/verb quiz on Wednesday (2/20)

We did the warm up, practicing stem-changing verbs. We went over the homework. We practice words and verbs from page 40 of the textbook. We learned 3 new stem-changing verbs and filled out the forms on the chart. We learned negatve/indefinite words, took notes, and practiced them. We wrote Valentine cards and learned Valentine sayings for el día de San Valentín.

español V: Hoy repasamos B, F, G y practicamos el pretérito un poco, porque estamos empezando el capítulo 4 en Repaso. Luego, oímos dos charlas, y dimos consejos a unos problemas que escribimos en corazones. Hicimos tarjetas para el Día de San Valentín, y no hay tarea esta noche!

español V, miércoles: Repasamos la tarea, estudiamos y nos preparamos para la prueba, y la tomamos. Luego, oímos varias charlas, y la tarea para mañana es B, F, G de capítulo 4 en Repaso. Muchos faltaron a causa de la campaña de donar sangre.

We did the warm up, practicing new vocabulary of the chapter. We went over the homework. We learned more stem-changing verbs and filled out our verb chart. We got new workbooks and watched the Gramactiva video. We did pages 6, 7 and 8 in the workbook with partners and worked on pages 20-21 in the texbook (translating and practicing words). We also practiced the Central America and South America maps with partners.

Español V: Repasamos y entregamos Z y AA en la página 38, y luego leímos Una sortija para mi novia. Resulta que hay alguien en la clase que es recientemente comprometida, y que tiene una sortija de novia! Luego oímos varias charlas y discutimos varios aspectos de la inmigración, legal e ilegal. TAREA: una hoja de repaso/mañana hay prueba sobre el capítulo 3 en Repaso

lunes, el 11 de febrero

español V - hoy repasamos toda la tarea de viernes, y luego discutimos todas las preguntas al final de El tiempo borra, el cuento en Album que leímos el jueves pasado. Hay que reconocer, en 3-4 semanas, a los personajes, temas y argumentos de todas las historias que estamos leyendo; habrá un examen sobre todos ellos. Discutimos las preguntas de "qué pasó" y de "análisis." Luego oímos tres charlas, y la tarea para mañana es Z, AA p. 38 de Repaso. Habrá una prueba sobre capítulo 3 este miércoles.

Warm-up (review of vocabulary and SER). We corrected the homework and practiced the vocabulary. We reviewed page 14 vocabulary in textbook. We did activities with new vocabulary from pages 18 and 22-23. We learned a few new verbs and filled out the verb chart. We also went over the test and talked about study skills.

español V - practicamos los nuevos verbos de capítulo 3 con un compañero, usando la nueva hoja verde de preguntas, y entregamos la tarea de ayer después de repasarla. Tomamos apuntes sobre unas formas nuevas de los verbos que tienen cambios de la raíz y del deletreo. Luego, charlamos acerca de a quién invitaríamos a una cena especial, y oímos dos charlas. La tarea es R,S, T, W X en Repaso capítulo 3.

español V- jueves, el 7 de febrero

jueves/español V- practicamos los nuevos verbos de capítulo 3 con una nueva lista, y repasamos y entregamos la tarea (D,E,F) de capítulo 3. Luego, conversamos en el paquete “El arte de hablar,” y escribimos las formas del voseo que se presentan adentro. Coleccionamos las firmas de las otras personas de la clase en una hoja nueva (dorada), y leímos el cuento El tiempo borra en el libro Album. Oímos dos charlas (La carrera a la Casa Blanca, y nueva investigación sobre cómo tratar la hypertensión). La tarea para mañana: G.H, M págimas 29-32 en Repaso.

We did the warm-up practicing SER and nationalities. We went over the homework worksheet pages. We worked on vocabulary and oral activities with our partners. We practiced with sentences and flashcards. We prepared and performed skits “¿Qué te gusta hacer?” We also passed out a “study help” worksheet.

We did the warm-up. We corrected the homework (practicing AR verbs). We read page 11 in the textbook and sang Bailamos by Enrique Iglesias. We went over new ER and IR verbs on the verbsheet and practiced them orally with a partner. We had a quiz and we received partners for the semester and changed our seats.

martes, el 5 de febrero

español V: Hoy practicamos los verbos de capítulo 1 de Repaso. Luego repasamos y entregamos la tarea, y conseguimos nuevos compañeros en una lista de animales. Discutimos los temas de Una carta de Dios, practicamos trabalenguas de un paquete, discutimos también los objetos para traer a una isla desierta, y aprendimos un poco acerca de la forma "vos" que se usa en algunos países hispanohablantes de Latinoamérica. La tarea es una hoja de capítulo 1, y habrá una prueba mañana sobre las formas y los significados de los verbos de capítulo 1 de Repaso.

Spanish II-martes el 5 de enero

We did the warm-up practicing question words. We corrected (went over) the crucigrama (crossword). We practiced from page 8 and 9 in the textbook. We went over new and old AR verbs again on the verbsheet and practiced them orally with a partner and by playing Battleship. We also did a listening activity to practice SER and nationalities.

TAREA: Yellow sheet practice of AR verbs. STUDY for your quiz (Wednesday 02/06).

We did the warm up using ser in sentences. We corrected the homework (adjectives and ser). We took notes on AR verbs, practiced them with partners, and played Loteria. We also took notes on question words and practiced those.

Hoy discutimos el fin de semana y el SuperBowl! Acabamos con las presentaciones de las charlas/Cajas acerca de mí. Repasamos y entregamos la tarea P y R, y recibimos una nueva charla para presentar (un artículo/noticias del día), y una hoja de tarea para hacer para mañana. Habrá una prueba este miércoles acerca de capítulo 1 de Repaso.

Hoy empezamos (pero no acabamos con) las charlas acerca de cada persona: Una caja acerca de mí. Vamos a tratar de terminar estas presentaciones el lunes. Que pasen un muy buen fin de semana! La única tarea es acabar P y R en Repaso, páginas 13-14.

Spanish II- el 1 de febrero

viernes: First we did a warm-up over greetings and spelling. Then we went over the pink vocabulary worksheet, filling in words we didn't have. Then we finished the blue Quien es survey, discussing everyone's interests and hobbies. Next, we started a worksheet about our textbook, then we saw a movie about Spanish speaking countries and did a worksheet about it. Homework tonight: cover your textbook (art and Spanish prizes!!!) and do the worksheet called Practice Workbook pages 1-2, both sides. Next week we will have a quiz over pages 1-7, and later on a test over the rest of the Para empezar chapter plus the map packet. Do continue studying the map packet (countries and capitals), AND the vocabulary flashcards. ¡Que pasen un buen fin de semana!
