espanol III - viernes, el 30 de octubre
Today we practiced seasonal vocabulary, and then we played Lotería with the imperfecto. We saw Picos de Europa, Nettaly's presentation, and then we went to Costa Rica with Thomas! Homework is a 2-page vocabulary packet with words from pages 62-65 in our book.

Today we practiced our vocabulary, and then we learned words about Día de los Muertos, and then we saw a video. We also had a vocabulary Bingo game with prizes, and homework for the weekend is pages 27-28 in our workbook.

espanol III -jueves, el 29 de octubre
Today we took a virtual tour of El Museo del Prado in Madrid, and we also saw two projects - on in Puerto Rico and one about La Isla de Pascua. We worked on a preterite/imperfect packet, practicing the uses a bit more. We have a new vocabulary list to fill in for tomorrow. Vamos a aprender mucho acerca del arte en este capítulo.

We practiced our vocabulary and learned body parts and clothing! We filled in several lists and labeled lots of drawings, and we also played pictionary with the words we learned. Tonight's homework is a worksheet over pages 70-71 in our textbook, and also to finish our flashcards for 2A vocabulary on p.96.

We practiced our past tense and vocabulary and then we corrected our homework. We took our chapter 1 exam, and we have a new vocabulary list to fill in by tomorrow. AND, we had three projects presented. ¡Es todo!

We practiced and reviewed everything in our chapter, including verbs and uses of all vocabulary. We corrected and handed in homework, and tonight's homework is the packet with listening activities, pages 17 18 & 19. We saw a project about Macchu Picchu, and we played a review game over all of the past tense uses. TEST TOMORROW: chapter 1, including all vocabulary, all verb forms, uses of preterite and imperfect.

Today was REVIEW DAY. We corrected and handed in homework, and also did some listening comprehension activities. We took notes over everything in the chapter, and reviewed what's on the test: pages 42 - 68, including SABER/CONOCER, tan and tanto + como, and cuanto tiempo hace que...hace ____que.... and we played a review game. Homework: a review translation worksheet.

Our warm-up was a translation activity practicing both past tenses put together, and we reviewed the uses. We corrected and handed in our homework, and we read about 6 activities in our textbook, practicing comprehension and verb forms. We got new Obras de Arte partners, and we also did a listening activity. Tonight's homework is workbook pages 17, 18 and 20. EXAM chapter 1 is this Wednesday.

Warm-up: we put sentences together with tan/tantos, and then we corrected our homework packet. We practiced our vocabulary and had our vocabulary-spelling quiz. We reviewed all of our chapter 1B concepts, and then we practiced some conversation activities with our new partner. We played a review translation game to get ready for our chapter 1B exam which is this Wednesday. Homework tonight is Workbook pages 25-26.

espanol III - miércoles, el 21 de octubre
Hoy practicamos los usos del pretérito y el imperfecto. HIcimos práctica del libro, y repasamos y entregamos la tarea. We also saw examples of the project, made by students from previous years in Spanish III. We had our quiz over the vocabulary + extra points on preterite, and then we took a trip (on a DVD) to Costa Rica. Tarea: a new worksheet we picked up after the quiz.

Our warm-up was with "saber" and "conocer," like yesterday's homework AND our lesson! We corrected and handed in our homework, and then we presented our pictures and stories. We had a big review game and also practiced for Monday's quiz: spelling test on page 68. Next Wednesday will be our chapter exam.

Warm-up: we practiced our two past tenses, and then we worked on various uses of both the preterite and the imperfect. We corrected our homework, and then we worked on our vocabulary. We read and studied from the book, and got more information about our projects, and we signed up for the presentation dates for our project. We have three pages of homework in the workbook as homework tonight, and a QUIZ tomorrow over the 1B vocabulary.

First we practiced our new expressions from chapter 1B in our warm-up, and then we corrected and handed in our homework. We worked on flashcards and vocabulary and our book for several speaking exercises, and we took notes and practiced all of the uses of SABER and CONOCER, and their forms. We did several listening comprehension exercises in our new blue packet. HOMEWORK: next two pages of workbook AND complete the 6-panel story project.

Hicimos un paquete amarillo, practicando los usos de los dos tiempos pasados, el imperfecto y el pretérito, e identificando cuándo se usa cada uno. Luego, hicimos una Línea de mi Vida, con papel y reglas. Tarea: el paquete nuevo más la línea. Mañana o miércoles: Qué parque vas a investigar para tu proyecto?

We did a warm-up with our vocabulary and verbs, and then we corrected our homework. We practiced three oral partner activities using vocabulary and structures about our activities, and we reviewed "cuánto tiempo hace que." Then, we took notes on Comparatives, and did several practice activities with these structures. Homework is pages 21 - 22 in the workbook.

Warm-up: we practiced our preterite meanings and forms, and then we corrected our homework from the packet. We read some new material in the book about Chile, and then we reviewed how El Imperfecto works, and what its uses are with the preterite for telling a story in the past tense. We did a warm-up with our new vocabulary from pages 42-43, and then we corrected our yellow worksheet. We practiced our vocabulary, and we finished our pink interview questions with our partners. We learned the uses of "hace" to express "how long," and then we watched our video and the Gramactiva, and re-read and translated the script in the book. Our homework is WORKBOOK pages 16 - 18.

Today we practiced our preterite verbs on a warm-up and in many conversation practice activities, and we also took notes on and practiced how accent marks work. We corrected and handed in our homework, and then we took our verb quiz over the preterite verb forms. We played Desk Slap with gold vocabulary cards, and our homework is pages 12 -13 in our stapled listening comprehension packet.

We did a warm-up over our stem-changing verbs, and then we went over our new vocabulary. We played pictionary with our partners, and then we practiced places in the A Ver section at the beginning of the chapter. We practiced new vocabulary on a handout, and we got our homework, which is a yellow worksheet. Finish your FLASHCARDS over 1B vocabulary by tomorrow.

We did a translation card relay activity, and our homework is workbook pages 13 -15. Study hard for the test on Monday!

Warm-up - we practiced our preterite verbs and meanings, and then we took notes on -ir stem changing verbs in the preterite. We practiced them, and then corrected the part of the worksheet packet that we did as homework, and handed in the packet. We practiced our vocabulary and then did a communication partner activity with vocab. and preterite, and then we did Rapid Review with preterite forms on flashcards. We are doing pages 7-10 in our workbook as our homework tonight. Quiz over preterite forms is NEXT Tuesday, and TOMORROW are our presentations of our adventure stories!

Today we did a warm-up with the preterite tense, and then we corrected our homework which was past tense translations. We had 20 minutes of writing time with our partner for our stories we're presenting on Thursday. Then, we had our map test over the countries and capitals. Then we played Battleship. Homework is the last two pages of the preterite forms packet.

Our warm-up was over the negative and affirmative words, and then we corrected our homework. After that, we worked on some interview questions with our new partners. We practiced a LOT of verb flashcards, translating from English to Spanish! We saw our video again and did a worksheet. Homework: Practice Workbook pages 10, 11 and 12. Unit test over chapter 1A is this Thursday.

We corrected and handed in our homework, and then we learned some new preterite verbs. We finished filling in our pink verb packet, and then played The Dot Game with our partners. We practiced our countries and capitals, and we watched a movie and did a worksheet about Animales del Mundo. Our homework is the first 4 pages of work in the irregular preterite practice packet. Next Tuesday, we'll have a map test: identify countries + capitals, spell all correctly in Spanish; includes the whole Spanishi-speaking world.

Our warm-up was over the past tense uses of page 17 vocabulary at the beginning of the chapter. Then, we wrote in more verb forms and practiced all of the preterite forms with The Dice Game! We also did two review worksheets on the Spanish Speaking World. Our quiz over countries and capitals will be next TUESDAY. Tonight's homework is a worksheet over the vocabulary and also preterite verb forms.

Then, we practiced vocabulary and also verbs with our new partner, and took notes about the information on page 31. We did several practice exercises with indefinite and negative verbs, and then we did some listening comprehension exercises in a new blue packet. We started our homework: a blue worksheet. QUIZ on Monday over the new verbs on the verb sheet, and quiz on Wednesday over the 1A vocabulary on p40 - they both are spelling tests.
