español II- jueves, el 22 de enero

Warm-up: we practiced more uses of the two past tenses, and then we did listening activities and video activities with the 4B chapter information. We also started to review for the final exam, with our gold packet, outlining what we need to review. We watched several of the project presentations, and we'll finish the rest on Friday. Our homework is a new worksheet. This is the final blog of this course. For the final exam, be sure to study every chapter from PE through 4B, including all verbs and vocabulary (except 3B, which we skipped in this course), and it will be a fairly long, comprehensive exam.

Warmup: we practiced translating questions, then we learned new verbs and vocabulary from chapter 4B. We watched the video, read and translated the dialogue, and did several partner practice activities. Homework: pages 76-78 in the workbook. This is the final blog for this course. For the final exam, study units PE through 5B, including all vocabulary and verbs. Study hard; the final is quite comprehensive.

Warm-up: we practiced Ir + al, a la, and then corrected and handed in homework. We practiced uses of verbs and vocabulary from this chapter on two worksheets, and did some other speaking and writing activities. Homework is a blue worksheet packet and also the 4B vocabulary list.

Warm-up: today we worked on a lot of uses of Preterite and Imperfect, with the warm-up and two stories and worksheets and some pair work. We practiced our new uses of reciprocal reflexive verbs, and then worked on our projects. Homework is a worksheet.

Warm-up: información acerca del nuevo presidente. We practiced our new vocabulary, learned about more regions in Spain, and practiced the vocabulary at the beginning of chapter 4B. Then, we watched our video, and had work time with our partners to finish creating the script for our projects this week. Homework: a new crossword puzzle with 4B vocabulary.

Warm-up: información del presidente nuevo. We corrected the homework, and then learned how to put IR + AL and IR + A LA together in sentences, when we talk about going places. Then, we did a listening activity and practiced our sentences and how to say we go places with practice exercises in writing, and orally in the book. Homework: workbook pages 69-70

Warm-up: we practiced talking about our favorite activities to do on weekends, and we reviewed all of the family vocabulary for making a family tree. We went over yesterday's exam and corrected our mistakes, and then we practiced all of our new 4A vocabulary, including the question words, and we watched our chapter video. Homework: pages 67-68 in the workbook for Tuesday.

Warm-up: we practiced putting sentences together using TWO past tenses together. We shared the project (textbook p. 205) that was last night's homework and turned it in. We outlined our project for next week (the story/adventure, narrated in the past tense), and started outlines and rough drafts with our writing partners for that assignment. Homework: the new 4B vocabulary list: fill it in (no flashcards required this time).

Warm-up: We practiced asking and answering questions about our childhood, then we reviewed all of the uses and forms of the preterite compared with the imperfect in a worksheet we did in groups. We corrected our homework, and then we practiced contrasting the two past tenses, and we also practiced telling stories with events that occurred in the past. We will be finishing a project next week with stories in the past tense. Tonight's homework is the Project at the end of the chapter, telling 5 things about our childhood and illustrating it to talk about in small groups tomorrow.

Warm-up: we practiced the verb SER and then corrected the blue review packet. We worked with partners to complete a crossword and practice pronouncing the vocabulary, and we quizzed each other on the vocabulary with flashcards and our list. Then, we did two conversation practice activities, and then a review translation game to prepare for the test tomorrow. the homework is in the workbook: pages 64-65

Warm-up: we practiced our imperfect verb forms, corrected our homework packet, and then did flashcard practice with all vocabulary words. We made up sentences with the picture cards, and then did a crossword puzzle. We did a writing assignment from the book on page 197 about Sir Isaac Newton, and then we did a practice listening activity from our workbook. Finally, we interviewed our partners about childhood toys and family traditions. Homework: a new worksheet with vocabulary from chapter 4A.

Warm-up: we practiced our adjective forms, and then we corrected the workbook pages that were homework. We practiced vocabulary with our partners, and did three other oral practice activities, including review and translation and conversation activities. We took notes over what's on the test this Thursday, over chapter 3B. The homework tonight is a blue packet, which we started each section of in class today.

Warm-up: we practiced the imperfect verb forms, then did vocabulary work with our homework, flashcards and our book. We finished some comprehension exercises from our workbook, and took notes on new uses of the Imperfecto vs El Pretérito for telling stories in the past tense. Warm-up: we practiced family vocabulary from chapter 4A intro. section "A ver si recuerdas," and then we did 5 oral practice activities with our partner. We watched the chapter video story, discussed our childhoods, and then practiced vocabulary and re-read the video script. Homework: a 3-page packet practicing 4A vocabulary.

We practiced all of our new vocabulary, and did 3 oral interactice interview practices with our new partners. Warm-up: we practiced pl 168 vocabulary, and then we corrected the homework. We drilled each other on vocabulary with our flashcards, and learned some new verbs, wrote them on the verb sheet, and practiced them with the Dot Game. We did several practice activities out of the book, then we learned about Mate tea (from Argentina), and then we did a listening comprehension exercise on a blue handout. Homework: yellow worksheet

Warm-up: We practiced 4A vocabulary, and then we corrected the gold worksheet from the textbook vocabulary about family and celebrations. We wrote in new verbs on our verb sheet, and then we wrote and presented them, interviewing each other about our childhood and using the new tense, "el imperfecto."

Today we practiced our vocabulary a lot of ways! We repeated, took dictations, practiced with flashcards and picture cards, played "desk slap," corrected our homework which was over vocabulary categories, and then we reviewed the video story from yesterday and did a blue comprehension packet over that story. Homework: pages 60-62 in the workbook.

Hoy: we learned a new past tense, "el imperfecto," by listening to a story, taking notes, and then interviewing a partner about our childhood memories and activities. Homework: new gold worksheet. Today, we went over yesterday's exam and also got grade printouts.

HOY: we worked hard on our new vocabulary: we practiced with flashcards, we repeated and practiced the spelling, filled in a food pyramid, and categorized foods into different types. We went over yesterday's test, and then we watched our new video for this chapter, and read it and translated it in the textbook. Homework: worksheet with 3B vocabulary

Hoy: we corrected our green worksheet and reviewed verbs and vocabulary, then took our 3A exam, then picked up our new vocabulary list. Homework: fill in the vocab. list and also make flashcards for the 4A vocabulary. (we are skipping 3B)

Today we did a warm-up and several practice activities with the vocabulary about errands. We reviewed and practiced all of our irregular preterite verbs with two games and activities, and we corrected and handed in the verb worksheet that was homework. Our homework tonight is the green worksheet about lo, la, los, and las and the exam tomorrow is over chapter 3A.

Today we did a warm-up and practice activities with sentences with food we like, and practicing gusta and gustan. We corrected and handed in the green crossword puzzle, and then we took our unit 3A exam and picked up our vocabulary list for 3B. Homework tonight: fill in the list of vocabulary AND make flashcards. ¡Hasta mañana!

Today we reviewed all of the vocabulary and the verbs from chapter 3A. We reviewed the video story, all of the verbs and gusta forms, and then we did a green crossword puzzle for review. We did three partner practice activities with flashcards, and our exam is tomorrow, over all of chapter 3A.

¡Había mucha nieve en diciembre, y cancelaron una semana de clases! Today we reviewed all of the irregular preterite forms, with the cubes and our verb sheets, and we did several interactive partner conversation activities with the vocabulary. We took notes over all of chapter 3A to remember what is in this chapter. Exam is this Wednesday. Our homework is a worksheet, and we turned in and corrected the crossword puzzle homework and also the irregular preterite (pink) packet.
