español II- miércoles, el 10 de diciembre

We had CIRCULO DE CONVERSACION for about 30 minutes, with objects and pictures and books to discuss and converse about! We rotated to 17 different conversation stations, and then we practiced our new verbs and vocabulary and direct object pronouns with three partner speaking activities. We corrected and handed in last night's homework, and the next exam will be next Wednesday, over all of chapter 3A. Homework tonight is a worksheet packet using our new 3A vocabulary and structures.

Warm-up: We practiced sentence translations with Me gusta + food, and then we took notes on the forms of gusta and encanta, with an N at the end when the thing that we like (pleases us) is plural. We corrected homework, and did three partner interactive speaking activities and oral participation activities. HOMEWORK: 15 creative sentences using p. 144 words from 3A.

Warm-up: we practiced our vocabulary from pages 126-127 and then we corrected and handed in our homework. We worked on our new vocabulary from the book, and then we viewed our book program video, and practiced its information on a workbook exercise. The homework is a worksheet practicing our 3A vocabulary.

Warm-up: we practiced words that modify nouns (libro de español, etc.) and then we practiced all of our -er and -ir verbs and then corrected and handed in our homework. We practiced vocabulary, and then viewed our book's video program, and did a practice worksheet using the information from the video. We read the text of the video and translated it, and did some comprehension exercises. homework: pages 55 -56 in the workbook.

español II- lunes, el 8 de diciembre

Warm-up: we practiced our vocabulary from pages 126-127, and received a white packet with more House vocabulary. Then, we practiced talking about our houses, chores, and rooms in our houses with our Llama partner. We practiced all of the vocabulary on page 126 with our yellow worksheet, and then we learned 5 new verbs on a new pink verb sheet for irregular preterite verbs. Our homework is a worksheet using the words and structures on pages 126-127 in our book.

Warm-up: we practiced our new vocabulary (food) and filled in words to complete 10 sentences. We corrected and handed in our homework, and then we practiced our new vocabulary, with pronunciation review, and then "desk slap" and drill and practice with our flashcards. Then, we read about foods from the New World, and talked about foods' origins and different types of foods, reading from the textbook. Homework: pages 53 -54 in our Practice Workbook

We practiced our new vocabulary, and worked with our worksheet and corrected last night's homework. Then, we had a guest speaker from Spain! Blanca told us about her country, its regions and food and culture. Homework: pages 51-52 in the workbook

Today we learned new words on page 126 and did a worksheet, practiced our chore vocabulary, and then went over our exam from yesterday. Our homework: fill in the vocab. list for 3A AND make vocabulary flash cards. We will continue using the pictures from last night's homework in class on Monday.

We corrected homework, and then reviewed a little for our exam. We had the exam for chapter 2B, and then did an art activity with the vocabulary on page 126. Homework: Tonight, fill in the pictures in the rectangles. Left side is a room in a house, and on the right side, what's the chore or job we do in that room? Homework for the weekend (due Monday) is fill in the new vocabulary for 3A, and ALSO make flashcards. Double points! (20) Tomorrow, we have a guest speaker, teaching us about Spain, where she is from!

Today we started our new chapter, about food! We did a warm-up practicing the verb ESTAR, then we had a pronunciation lesson and started learning our new vocabulary and practiced with our flashcards. Extra Credit for drawing pictures of them!! We made posters for different categories of food, with partners, and our homework is Practice Workbook pages 49-50.

Warm-up: we practiced putting together sentences with shopping vocabulary, then we did 5 complex conversational practice activities, and two worksheets and several listening activities as review for tomorrow's test. EXAM: all of chapter 2B, including all preterite forms (pink verb sheet), and the demonstratives (pink packet), and all of the shopping vocabulary. Study pages 98 - 125! Homework: a worksheet packet

We reviewed chapter 2B and viewed the video once more, practiced verbs and vocabulary, corrected homework, and then took our 2B exam. Homework: fill in the new 3A vocabulary AND make flashcards. 10 extra credit points possible for doing pictures INSTEAD of English on the back of AT LEAST 10 OF THE CARDS! :-)

Warm-up: we translated questions and sentences with locational prepositions and ESTAR and HAY, then we corrected our blue packet, which was the weekend homework. We took notes on all of the information in the chapter that will be on tomorrow's test, and we did several practice games and activities with all of the vocabulary, as well as a blue listening activity for comprehension practice. Homework: worksheet with ESTAR and HAY.

español II - martes, el 2 de diciembre

Today we practiced many oral and written activities using all of the information from chapter 2B - question interviews, demonstratives, and all vocabulary. We wrote in the rest of the verbs on the pink verb sheet and practiced them, sang Dónde estás Yolanda, and then did a listening activity. Tonight's homework is a yellow worksheet, and we need to study pages 98 - 125 to be prepared for the exam this Thursday.
